Getting started

Create an account

Visit setback.io/register to create your account. You'll need:

• A valid email address
• Your company or organization name (optional)

Get your API key

Once logged in:

1. Navigate to Settings > API Keys
2. Click Create New Key
3. Give your key a descriptive name (e.g., "Development", "Production")
4. Copy the key immediately — it won't be shown again

Store your API key securely. Never commit it to version control or expose it in client-side code.

Base URL

All API requests use the following base URL:

https://api.setback.io

Authentication

Include your API key in the Authorization header of every request:

Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY

Rate limits

API access comes with the Pro plan. The Base plan does not include it.

Rate limit headers are included in every response:

X-RateLimit-Limit: 60
X-RateLimit-Remaining: 57
X-RateLimit-Reset: 1700000000
